Oracle Bookmaker — external-feed odds with overround
Polymarket-fed odds with a configurable overround and a full circuit-breaker safety stack.
The Oracle Bookmaker prices markets from an external oracle feed (e.g. Polymarket) and applies a configurable overround. It pairs live, real-money reference odds with a safety stack designed for operators who want accurate pricing without setting lines by hand.
How it works
- 1
Odds are sourced from an external oracle feed and a configurable overround (minimum 5%) is applied to guarantee margin.
- 2
Live oracle verification at bet time rejects any bet that deviates more than 5% from the cached price.
- 3
A circuit breaker auto-suspends a market on price jumps greater than 10%; TWAP smoothing with polling jitter dampens manipulation.
- 4
Large bets can be held for a configurable delay and re-verified against the oracle after the delay.
Best for
Operators who want market-accurate odds on real-world events without staffing a trading desk, with strong protection against stale-price and oracle-manipulation abuse.
Risk controls
- Minimum 5% overround enforced
- >10% price-jump circuit breaker with auto-suspend
- Live oracle re-verification (rejects >5% deviation)
- TWAP smoothing + polling jitter; delayed re-check on large bets
Frequently asked
- Where do the odds come from?
- From an external oracle feed such as Polymarket, with a configurable overround applied on top. You are never hand-setting lines, but you keep full control of the margin.
- How is oracle manipulation handled?
- Bets are re-verified against the live oracle at placement (rejecting >5% deviation), a circuit breaker auto-suspends on >10% jumps, and TWAP smoothing with polling jitter reduces the value of short-lived price spikes.
